An engaging and hands-on Ultrasound Workshop tailored specifically for rural General Practitioner Obstetricians. This one-day workshop aims to enhance late pregnancy scanning skills and knowledge, empowering rural healthcare providers to provide high-quality ultrasound services within their communities.

The FSEP Full program provides a solid foundation of information for all clinicians involved in antenatal and intrapartum care. The goal is to reduce the risks of adverse perinatal outcome by improving professional levels of understanding and confidence in the area of fetal surveillance.
By the end of the FSEP session, it is hoped that participants will:

•  Appreciate the importance of fetal and utero-placental physiology in interpreting CTGs
•  Have an improved understanding of the physiological genesis of the fetal heart rate and its patterns
•  Have improved their ability to interpret the CTG trace (normal and abnormal), using a physiological approach
•  Have improved their capacity to respond appropriately to potential fetal compromise
•  Have improved their confidence in interpreting and managing antenatal and intrapartum CTGs
•  Have improved their awareness of the resources available to assist in CTG interpretation and management
•  Consider implementing an ongoing, multidisciplinary review of intrapartum CTGs in their health care facilities

Paediatric Emergencies and Clinical Healthcare Scenarios (PEaCHS) | Geraldton

This education workshop is proudly delivered by Rural Health West in partnership with WA Country Health Service.

This Rural Health West CPD workshop is a one-day workshop in paediatric emergency scenarios and skills. It will give delegates real-life examples and the opportunity to manage sick or injured children in a safe environment.

The workshop content includes:

• Hands-on simulation – practise common scenarios and structured care
• Short presentations by experienced paediatric emergency physicians
• Comprehensive handbook of lecture materials and practical skills
• ‘Resuscitation reminders’ card for your ID badge clip

Eligibility: GP Obstetricians, ED doctors and nurses and GPs. Priority is given to those working in the local region.
Length: One Day – 8.00am-5.00pm
Cost: $350-$440

Accreditation:
5 Educational Activity and 1 Reviewing Performance CPD Hours with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
5 Educational Activity and 3 Outcome Measurement PDP Hours. 6 Emergency Medicine and 6 Obstetric and Gynaecology MOPS Hours with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
This workshop is eligible for the procedural grant, Emergency Medicine and Obstetrics components. We ask participants to contact their relevant college to ascertain your eligibility for the grant prior to attending.

Cancellation Policy

• Applicants who give notice of cancellation of four (4) weeks or more will receive a full refund of the course fee.
• Applicants who withdraw from the course 14 days prior will receive a 50 per cent refund of the course fee.
• Applicants who fail to attend a course or who withdraw from the course less than 14 days of the course date will be considered on an individual case basis.
